Paying your Fire Service Charges
This system is provided to the public as part of Laois County Council’s commitment to providing quality and timely customer oriented services. This system allows Fire Service Charges to be paid online using either a Credit Card or Laser Card.
In order to pay the bill you will need the Customer Number (account number) that appears on your invoice. The Customer Number (account number) is the six digit number that commences with 10 or 11 near the top of the invoice.
You will need the NAME (1st and last characters of your Name (as detailed on your invoice).
When you enter your Customer Number (account number) and name (as outlined above) the system will search for your bill. Please ensure that all the details that are outlined are correct before entering the payment amount followed by your card details.

What do I need to use this service?
- You will need your Customer Number (account number) which is the 6 digit number on your Fire Service Charge beginning with the numbers 10 or 11
- You will need the NAME (1st and last charchers of your Name (as detailed on your invoice)
- You will need a valid Visa/Delta, Mastercard or Laser Card
How to use this service
If you wish to pay your Fire Service charge click on the “Pay Fire Service Charges” link. Then enter your Customer Number (account number) and Surname into the boxes provided. The Customer Number (account number)will begin with the numbers 10 or 11.
The system will then search for your charge and return the details of this charge to you. Please confirm that these details are correct and proceed to the next stage of the payment process.

What about privacy and security?
All financial transactions are processed by Realex, a third party Internet financial service which provides a secure environment to protect your transactions. What about Refunds?
If a Fire Service Charge has been paid in error or has been receipted twice, a refund may be arranged. An application for a refund should be made in writing to: Laois County Council, Aras an Chontae, Portlaoise, Co. Laois, R32 EHP9.
