Laois County Council’s Severe Weather Crisis Management Team has now concluded its operations.
Water levels peaked yesterday across the County, but well below any level which could cause any flooding issues. These river levels, which continue to be monitored, are now receding.
Laois County Council wishes to acknowledge the support of contractors, the agricultural sector, building contractors and private individuals with access to plant and machinery who supported us in our operations over the last week. We also wish to acknowledge the support of 42 personnel from the Defence Forces, and all our media partners, for sharing our press releases.
