Laois County Council and Laois Local Community Development Committee (Laois LCDC) proudly announces the official launch of its Local Economic and Community Plan (LECP) and Local Authority Climate Action Plan (LACAP) at the historic and picturesque Emo Court and Parklands. This event marks a significant milestone in the sustainable development and environmental stewardship of County Laois.
The launch brought together the key stakeholders involved in the development of both plans including Laois Chamber Alliance, Laois Partnership Company, Laois Local Enterprise Office, Laois PPN, the HSE and the DSP. The scenic surroundings of Emo Court and Parklands provided an inspiring backdrop, symbolising the harmony between Laois’s rich heritage and its forward-looking aspirations.
The Local Economic and Community Plan sets out a strategic vision for driving local economic and community development initiatives and investments. This collaborative effort ensures that resources are effectively allocated to maximize their impact on the county’s economic and social landscape.
The Local Authority Climate Action Plan lays out actionable steps to address climate change, reduce carbon emissions, and build resilience against environmental challenges.
