The 6 week public consultation period for the draft Portlaoise Local Area Plan 2024-2030 has recommenced.
The new 6 week public consultation period will now run from 15th May through 26th June 2024.
PUBLIC INFORMATION SESSIONS will be held as follows:
1. Portlaoise Library, Main Street, Portlaoise
Wednesday 5th June 2024
11 am-1 pm
2. Portlaoise Library, Main Street, Portlaoise
Wednesday 12th June 2024
11 am-1 pm
Written submissions or observations made on or before 4pm, 26th June 2024 will be taken into consideration before the making of the Local Area Plan.
Submissions may be made in one of the following ways:
- Through the relevant Consultation Portal: http://consult.laois.ie or
- Email: portlaoiselap@laoiscoco.ie or
- Write to: Senior Planner, Planning Section, Áras an Chontae, JFL Ave., Portlaoise, County Laois.
Latest time for receipt of submissions [post/online/email] is: 4.00 PM, 26th June 2024.
Please note that any person who made a submission during the originally advertised 6 week public consultation period running from April 5th through to the 17th May 2024 will be required to formally re-submit their submission during the new dates indicated in this notice, in order for them to be considered in the making of the plan. In this regard, Laois County Council regrets any inconvenience caused.
