Tá feidhm ag socruithe speisialta vótála i gcás na dtoghthóirí seo a leanas:
- Baill d’Óglaigh na hÉireann
- Baill den Gharda Síochána
- Daoine a bhfuil tinneas coirp/meabhrach nó míchumas coirp orthu a bhfuil cónaí orthu sa bhaile
- Daoine nach bhfuil in ann vótáil go pearsanta mar gheall ar a gcúinsí slí bheatha/oideachas
- Daoine le tinneas coirp nó míchumas coirp a bhfuil cónaí orthu in ospidéal, i dteach altranais nó institiúid dá leithéid.
Is féidir foirmeacha iarratais maidir leis an méid thuas a íoslódáil ó www.checktheregister.ie nó trí theagmháil a dhéanamh le register@laoiscoco.ie nó trí ghlaoch a chur ar (057) 8664105. Ba cheart iarratais chomhlánaithe a sheoladh ar ais chuig Comhairle Contae Laoise, Gnóthaí Corparáideacha, Áras an Chontae, Port Laoise, R32 EHP9. Áireofar iarratasóirí a mheastar a bheith incháilithe ar liosta na vótálaithe post/speisialta.
DO YOU QUALIFY FOR A POSTAL/SPECIAL VOTE?
Special voting arrangements apply in the case of the following electors:
- Members of the Defence Forces
- Members of An Garda Siochána
- Persons with a physical/mental illness or physical disability living at home
- Persons unable to vote in person because of the circumstances of their occupation/education
- Persons with a physical illness or physical disability living in a hospital, nursing home or similar institution.

Completed applications should be returned to Laois County Council, Corporate Affairs, Áras an Chontae, Portlaoise, R32 EHP9. Applicants who are deemed eligible will be included on the Postal/Special voters list.
