Launch of Cruinniú na nÓg Laois Series: Sense of Place art exhibition

The official launch of the exhibition will take place at Dunamaise Arts Centre on Sat 11 June 4pm

The exhibition  runs at Dunamaise Arts Centre, Portlaoise, Sat June 11 – Thurs June 30 2022 (open 10am – 5pm daily, closed on Sunday, Monday & bank holidays.)

The Cruinniú na nÓg Laois Series: Sense of Place art exhibition by young people in Laois is inspired by their collective sense of place and identity.

Young people across the county were invited to creatively respond to the idea of place and the locations in Laois that mean the most to them through painting, sculpture, print, collage, photography, mixed media, Lego, graffiti and more.

The exhibition will feature five 1st prize artworks and five high commended artworks.

The 1st prize winners will have their artwork included in a limited series of postcards available for free to the public.

Supported by Creative Ireland Laois as part of the Creative Ireland Programme in partnership with Laois County Council and the Arts Council.
