The Music Generation Laois Summer School of Rock and Pop took place across 2 weeks, from the 5-16 July, in Laois Music Centre. Guest musicians and the Music Generation Laois team worked with over 50 young musicians and singers. The programme culminated with a large-scale showcase concert on the grounds of Laois Music Centre.
Over the fortnight, newly formed bands wrote original songs, and performed inventive covers of well-known songs. Each band recorded a song, and created a music video on the grounds of Laois Music Centre. Videos can be watched at the Music Generation Laois Youtube Channel.
