Offices will be closed for business from 4.00 p.m. on Wednesday, 23rd December, 2020 and will re-open at 9.00 a.m. on Wednesday, 30th December, 2020. Offices will also be closed on Friday, 1st January, 2021 and will re-open at 9.00 am on Monday, 4th January, 2021. The Planning Department is currently open by appointment only and will close at 1.00 p.m. on Wednesday 23rd December 2020 and will re-open at 9.30 a.m. on Wednesday 30th December 2020. On Thursday 31st December 2020, the Planning Department will be closed at 12 noon. The Planning Department will also be closed on Friday 1st January 2021 with business returning by appointment only from Monday 4th January 2021. Pre Planning meetings are suspended until Monday 4th January 2021.

The Motor Tax and Payments Office will close at 1.00 p.m. on Wednesday, 23rd December, 2020. Due to the Level 5 restrictions which are due to come into effect from midnight on 24th December, the public counter will remain closed until further notice. Applications can be made on line @www.motortax.ie or by post.

The Laois Dog Pound/Shelter will be closed from Friday, 25th December to Monday, 28th December 2020 (inclusive) and on Friday 1st January 2021. The Dog Pound/Shelter will be open on Tuesday, 29th December and Thursday 31st December 2020 between 10.00 a.m. and 12.30 p.m. for the public to bring in stray or reclaim and rehome dogs. The Dog Pound/Shelter is closed on Wednesdays. The Laois Dog Pound/Shelter will re-open as normal on Saturday, 2nd January 2021 – 10.00 a.m. to 12.30 p.m.
