On Tuesday, 31st December 2019, the Planning Office, Motor Tax, Payments Office and HAP Office will be closed to the public at 12 noon. The Planning Department, Motor Tax, Payments Office and HAP Office will also be closed on Wednesday, 1st January 2020 with business resuming as normal (9.30 a.m. to 3.30 p.m. for the Motor Tax, Payments Office and HAP Office and 9.30 a.m. to 4.00 p.m. for the Planning Department) from Thursday, 2nd January 2020.

The Laois Dog Pound/Shelter will be closed from Wednesday, 25th December to Friday, 27th December 2019 (inclusive) and will be open on Saturday, 28th December 2019 and Monday, 30th December 2019 between 10.00 am and 12.30 pm for the public to bring in stray or reclaim and rehome dogs. The Dog Pound will also be closed on Tuesday, 31st December 2019 and Wednesday 1st January 2020. The Laois Dog Pound/Shelter will re-open as normal on Thursday, 2nd January 2020 – 10.00 am to 12.30 pm.
