Virtual Meeting between the Sister Cities of Franklin & Williamson County & Laois County Council


The County of Laois and the County of Williamson, Tennessee signed a Twinning Agreement/Charter on 7th March 2008. The aim of the twinning between Laois and Williamson Counties is to explore opportunities to promote trade, commerce and tourism, to build on the educational links already developed, to promote awareness of arts, culture and heritage and to promote mutual understanding between the two Counties.

A virtual meeting between representatives of Laois County Council and representatives of the Sister Cities of Franklin and Williamson County has been arranged for 1st July 2021. At this meeting it is intended to reaffirm our commitment to the agreement signed between the parties involved and agree a schedule of meetings to take place for the remainder of 2021 to include the aims set out in the agreement.
