You can appeal a parking fine to Laois County Council or to a private operator if they have issued a parking fine on behalf of the council.
Parking fine appeals must be made within 14 days of receipt of parking fine.
Our online Parking Fines System is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. This service allows tickets to be appealed electronically through a secure online form. Please have your parking fine number along with your car registration and any supporting documentation relevant to your appeal.
To make an appeal
Please ensure to include the parking fine reference number and your vehicle registration number and any supporting documentation.
If you were not the driver of the car when the fine was issued, you can nominate the person who was driving. You can do so by completing Statement of Nomination Form below and returning it to parking@laoiscoco.ie
You should do this no later than 28 days after the date of the fixed charge notice and forward to Laois County Council, Aras an Chontae, Portlaoise, County Laois.
A person who provides false or misleading information or fails to provide information shall be guilty of an offence and shall be liable on summary conviction to a fine not exceeding €800.
