Laois Heritage Office prepare plans for the protection and conservation of the built, natural and cultural heritage of County Laois.
The Laois Heritage & Biodiversity Strategy 2021 – 2026 was adopted in December 2021. This is the fourth in a series which began with the Laois Heritage Plan 2002 – 2006. All plans can be viewed below.
The Laois Heritage Forum is a partnership body with representation from all groups with an interest in the heritage of County Laois. The Forum is involved in the writing of each plan and also in its day-to-day implementation.
The Forum members change from time to time as required. The membership of the Laois Heritage Forum at the adoption of the latest Laois Heritage & Biodiversity Strategy 2021 – 2026 are listed on pg. 16.
