Interactive Space talk

Join us in Portlaoise Library for an exciting and interactive space talk with Dermot Gannon as part of #AstronomyWeek2025. In this engaging presentation, he’ll explore Earth’s place in the Solar System, learn how to navigate the night sky, you’ll also get the chance to try a SpaceX/ISS docking simulator and learn how astronauts dock with the International Space Station. 

Dermot is a lifelong backyard astronomer and a member of Tullamore Astronomy Society, with a passion for introducing beginners to astronomy, rockets, and space technology.
