Portlaoise 

Hours of operation 

Pay Parking is operating between 08:30 and 17:30 Monday to Saturday. 

Please note that Pay and Display is not in operation on Sundays and bank holidays

Parking rates 

The first 45 minutes are free from when you first park your vehicle.  The parking fee is €1 per hour thereafter.  Parking is restricted to a maximum of two hours, parking at all on-street carparking and in JFL car park.  All-day parking is not allowed at these locations. Members of the public can avail themselves of one period of free parking per day only. 

All day parking 

 Long term parking (24 hours) is available at the following locations and rates: 

• Civic Plaza (County Hall) carpark - Rate €2.40 per day 
• Triogue/Church Street carpark – Rate €2.40 per day 
• Railway Street carpark rates as follows: –  

Portarlington

Members of the public can avail themselves of one period of free parking per day only. 

Mountmellick

Hours of operation 

Pay Parking is operating between 08:30 and 17:30 Monday to Saturday.

Parking rates

First 30 minutes free from when you first park your vehicle. The parking fee is €0.60 per hour. Parking is restricted to a maximum of two-hour parking in all on-street parking. No all-day parking allowed at these locations. Members of the public can avail themselves of one period of free parking per day only.

Parkingtag is a payment facility available for customers in Portlaoise, Portarlington and Mountmellick. Paying for your on-street parking has never been easier, pay online and download the Parking tag app, by SMS or by phone and pay through your debit or credit card. 

Local Parking Bye Laws and time limited restrictions still apply when using this service.
