Family Microbit Coding Workshops in Abbeyleix, Portlaoise and Rathdowney Libraries

Join Laois STEM Engagement Officer Seanie Morris as you learn to use Scratch - an easy-to-learn version of the computing language Python - to compile code on a computer and send the output to a visual display on a Micro:bit controller. Display your name; make happy and sad faces; program your micro:bit to play Rock Paper Scissors against other participants! No previous coding experience needed!

Microbit Workshops Rathdowney

Workshops are based on family-per-ticket, using computers or laptops provided by the venue. Limited numbers, so please only book if you are sure you can attend. Typical duration is 1 hour and 15 minutes.

Note: Where families are 2 parents with 2+ children, you can purchase 2 tickets to split the family and use 2 workstations and micro:bits.
