Remote Printing

Self-service kiosks are available in Portlaoise, Portarlington, Mountmellick and Abbeyleix libraries. 

These units are quick and easy to use, providing a fast, convenient and low-cost access to printing. 

How can I use the self-service kiosk?

To use the services in Portlaoise, Mountmellick and Abbeyleix libraries, follow the instructions below: 

Printing from your phone

• Email you document to the appropriate address below, depending on which library branch you are visiting: 
• For A4 black & white, email your document to portlaoise.bw@printspots.com OR mountmellick.bw@printspots.com OR abbeyleix.bw@printspots.com  
• For A4 colour, email your document to portlaoise.colour@printspots.com OR mountmellick.colour@printspots.com OR abbeyleix.colour@printspots.com 
• For A3 black & white, email your document to portlaoise.bw.a3@printspots.com OR mountmellick.bw.a3@printspots.com OR abbeyleix.bw.a3@printspots.com 
• For A3 colour, email your document to portlaoise.colour.a3@printspots.com OR mountmellick.colour.a3@printspots.com OR abbeyleix.colour.a3@printspots.com 
• Please ensure that the email address is correctly spelled – this is a common error and may result in delays. 
• Wait 30 seconds and you will receive an email entitled ‘Mobile Print’ - this document will contain two 6-digit codes. 
• On the kiosk screen, press ‘Start’, then ‘Print’ and then ‘Release Code’. 
• Type the top code into the box.
• If you have several documents to print and have emailed them consecutively, the codes related to these documents can all be entered in one transaction – hit ‘Next’ to enter the additional codes. 
• Pay for the prints using EXACT coins or your debit/credit card. 
• Your documents will then be released and sent to the printer. 
• Note: If you regularly print at the library, there is a dedicated ‘PrinterOn’ app available for download which may be useful. 

Using the self-service kiosks in Portarlington

To use the services in Portarlington library, follow the instructions below: 

You can connect to Portarlington Library printers via Wifi and the internet at any location and collect your printing during library opening hours. 

Using from a tablet or smartphone

• Download the PrinterOn app from Google Play Store or Apple App Store. 
• Ensure your location services are enabled in order to locate Portarlington Library Branch printer. 
• Open the PrinterOn app and select what you need to print. 
• Collect your prints from Portarlington Library during opening hours. 

Upload your print job from a laptop or pc 

Email your document as an attachment to one of the following addresses: 

• A4 Black & White (20c per page) – portarlingtonbwa4@printspots.com 
• A4 Colour (€1 per page) – portarlingtoncola4@printspots.com 
• A3 Black & White (40c per page) - portarlingtonbwa3@printspots.com 
• A3 Colour (€2 per page) - portarlingtoncola3@printspots.com  

A confirmation email will be sent once the document has been successfully processed. 

Check your spam/junk folders if the confirmation email does not appear in your inbox. 

Please remember to remove all blank or unwanted pages from your documents before uploading/emailing them. Otherwise, you will be charged for these pages.
