Gallery Spaces

Public libraries may provide space where groups and individuals can display their artwork or mount historical or cultural exhibitions.

There are two Laois County Library gallery spaces available in Mountmellick and Abbeyleix Libraries. For details on current and upcoming exhibitions, or for information on how to book a space in the gallery for your own artwork, contact the libraries directly. 

Mountmellick

The Gallery in Mountmellick is delighted to host a photography exhibition of City Streetscapes by Laszlo Vig for the mounth of November. Born in Hungary, Laszlo has primarily resided in Ireland throughout his life. "As an engineer, I utilise my camera to engage in creative pursuits, with the intention of entertaining and engaging audiences through my work." All welcome to come and take a look!

Abbeyleix

The Gallery in Abbeyleix is delighted to host an exhibition entitled The Colours of Life, a group exhibtion by VTOS students in Abbeyleix. The collection will show a selection of art depicting landscapes, portraits using the medium of acrylics and oils, along with a collection of ceramics for the month of November.

Stradbally

Stradbally Art House is located beside Stradbally Library and is managed by the Arts Section in Laois County Council.
