Playground locations and facilities
Play is a fundamental part of every child’s nature and children will play wherever they are.
Playgrounds provide a free place for children, their families and minders to explore play and enjoy the outdoors. There are 19 playgrounds available in County Laois for residents and visitors catering for different age ranges from pre-school through to teenagers. Many offer inclusive play equipment for children with a range of special needs and there are stake boarding facilities for older children in Portlaoise.
