Offer a Home campaign
Laois County Council is seeking unoccupied properties in County Laois to provide temporary accommodation to those fleeing war in Ukraine, who need a safe and secure place to stay for a while.
Do you have an unoccupied property that you’re not using at the moment? A tax-free Accommodation Recognition Payment of €800 per month is available to those who offer unoccupied properties.
Please consider offering it as temporary accommodation for those fleeing this war. Your offer will make a huge difference for Ukrainian families. Visit Offer a Home to make an offer or find out more. Irish Red Cross
The Irish Red Cross may be able to support you in finding a shared accommodation, which could allow you the chance to live independently, and to reunite with family members. If you are a Beneficiary of Temporary Protection and want to to access shared accommodation, please contact the Irish Red Cross at migrationcrisis@redcross.ie or call 1800 753343.

Accommodation Recognition Payment
The Accommodation Recognition Payment is a monthly payment of €800 available to you if you are providing accommodation to a person or people who arrived in Ireland under the EU Temporary Protection Directive. It is available to you if you are hosting in your own home or providing accommodation in a vacant property.
