Laois County Council provide financial support to business owners who pay their rates on time.
The Members of Laois County Council have allocated a fund in the 2024 Budget to encourage and support small businesses under the Small Business Support Scheme 2024.
The scheme will apply to ratepayers occupying properties in Laois paying Commercial Rates of €10,000 or less in 2024.
A 4% reduction of the Commercial Rate will be given where the annual Commercial Rates, (and any outstanding arrears), relating to the relevant rated property are paid either:
(a) in full by 30th June 2024.
or
(b) by agreed regular Standing Order payments commencing immediately and paid in full by the 31st December 2024.
Note: The 4% reduction only applies to the current annual Commercial Rate Demand.
