As part of the Climate Action Festival, Portlaoise will host a special "Town in a Garden" Walk and Talk, offering participants an engaging exploration of the town’s green spaces and its efforts towards environmental sustainability.
Led by local experts Vincent and Michael, this tour will highlight the town's innovative approach to urban greening, showcasing community planting, context around tree-lined streets, and biodiversity insight through projects that have transformed Portlaoise into a model for a Town in a Garden concepts. Participants will learn about the town’s eco-friendly initiatives and discover practical ways to incorporate green practices into their own communities, fostering a shared vision for a healthier, more resilient future.
