Art Therapy with Katie O'Donoghue

Laois Libraries, together with Offaly Libraries, are delighted to co-deliver a series of talks and workshops for parents as part of our Parenting Support Programme.

This parent and child workshop is a combination of story telling and theraputic creative activities that focus on supporting children with challenges such as worry, confidence boosting, empathy and emotional intelligence. Each workshop is inspired by one of Katie's children's books, The Little Squirrel Who Worried, The Little Otter Who Tried and The Little Lamb Who Led.

Katie is an Art Psychotherapist, accredited by the Irish Association of Creative Arts Therapists (IACAT).

Supported by Laois Offaly Children and Young People’s Services Committees (CYPSC), the Parenting Support Programme invites experts to discuss a broad range of parenting topics currently impacting our children.

The aim of the programme is to to give parents simple and practical strategies to help them build healthy relationships with their children and confidently manage issues as they arise.
