Eastern – Midlands Regional Waste Management Plan

Nearly half a million tonnes of household, commercial/ industrial, construction and demolition waste is generated in the Midlands Region every year.

The Eastern-Midlands Region encompasses the local authorities of – Laois, Longford, North Tipperary, Offaly, Westmeath, Dublin City, Dun Laoghaire-Rathdown, Fingal, South Dublin, Kildare, Louth, Meath and Wicklow have worked together to prepare an Eastern – Midlands Regional Waste Management Plan 2015 – 2021.

The regional plan provides the framework for waste management for the next six years and sets out a range of policies and actions in order to meet the specified mandatory and performance targets.
