Where are the Fire Stations in Laois?
There are eight Fire Stations around Laois:
- LS11 - Portlaoise Fire Station
- LS12 - Portarlington Fire Station
- LS13 - Rathdowney Fire Station
- LS14 - Durrow Fire Station
- LS15 - Mountmellick Fire Station
- LS16 - Mountrath Fire Station
- LS17 - Abbeyleix Fire Station
- LS18 - Stradbally Fire Station
What is included in each station?
Each station includes:
- one standard Class B Pumping Appliance
- a light four wheel drive vehicle
These carry the standard range of firefighting and rescue equipment for most incidents. We also have a range of special appliances based around the country for example:
- Water Tankers
- Emergency Tender
- Hydraulic Platform
- Four wheel drive Wildfire Units and
- Technical Rescue Units
