Laois County Council provides financial support to business owners to improve the appearance of shop fronts and commercial properties on public streets.
The Shop Front Grant Scheme is intended to improve the appearance of independently owned shops fronting public streets. Grants are available to improve the appearance of your shopfront (50% of the overall cost of works – €750 Maximum). Example grant with overall approved costs of €1,500: Laois County Council pay €750 – you pay €750.
It is important to note that the application must be submitted and a decision issued prior to commencing any of the works. Grant assistance cannot be given in retrospect for works carried out prior to approval for the Scheme.
Grants are available for something as simple as painting your shop, replacing signage, or even replacing your entire shopfront, certain T&C’s may apply. Please review our Terms & Conditions, FOI & GDPR details below before submitting your application.
