LAOIS COMMUNITY & VOLUNTARY AWARDS 2021


Laois County Council in partnership with Laois Public Participation Network will celebrate the 12th Anniversary of the Laois Community and Voluntary Awards
 
The purpose of the awards is to acknowledge groups and individuals who, through their commitment to voluntary and community activities, have played a significant role in enhancing the quality of life in their communities.
 
The Cathaoirleach of Laois County Council, Cllr. Conor Bergin, launched the 2021 Laois Community & Voluntary Awards. The purpose of the awards is to acknowledge groups and individuals who, through their commitment to voluntary and community activities, have played a significant role in enhancing the quality of life in their communities.
 
2021 marks the introduction of a new awards category, Volunteer Laois – COVID19 Community Response Award. Laois Volunteer Centre wishes to recognize local groups, organisations and clubs which have worked voluntarily with people in their community and/or county during the pandemic to provide essential services to those in need of assistance.”
 
The closing date for nominations for the Laois Community & Voluntary Awards 2021 is Friday 29th October at 4.00pm
 
Groups can be nominated in the following categories:
 
Arts, Culture & Heritage
Healthy & Active Community
Children & Youth
Environment
Social Inclusion
Age Friendly
Volunteer Laois – COVID19 Community Response Award
 
You can also make an individual nomination for an Unsung Hero Award for outstanding contribution by one person to community/voluntary life in their local area and/or the wider community in Co. Laois.
