Summer Stars 2020 is back!

Join the Reading Challenge at your Library

Summer Reading Adventure 2020 is the national reading programme for children taking place during the summer in public libraries and online throughout the country. Summer stars is a completely free programme and open to all children.

Summer star packs are available at Laois Library branches Portlaoise, 057 8622333. Portarlington, 057 8643751. Mountmellick, 057 8644588. Abbeyleix, 057 8730020 and Mountrath 057 8756378. Please call your local branch to make an appointment for collection.

Summer Stars online storytime: Summer Stars storytime will be delivered by library staff and Irish authors including chapter-a-day readings from books, available through your local library social media laoislibraries facebook page. TBC

You can keep up to date with the library live videos, on Laois Libraries facebook page. Baby book club, 0-3yrs, Tuesday and Thursday, weekly at 10.30am.  Bookbugs club, 4-7yrs, Friday, weekly at 10.30am. Children’s craft, 4-7yrs,Wednesday, weekly at 11.30am.
