LEGO Building Competition

The 2nd Annual LEGO building competition takes place on the 8th December at 2pm in Abbeyleix Library.

For ages 5 & up.

All entries much be dropped into the library between the 1st December and 12 noon on the 8th December.

Poison & Potions: the science of Toxicology

On 6pm Thursday 13th December the Just One More Line Bookclub will be hosting Dr Craig Slattery for a talk on the science of toxicology.

The Just one more line Adult Book Club with Aideen

The book club is now up and running, with some great books all ready devoured. So, if you’re also addicted to reading and need just one more line, contact us at 0578730020 or email us at and we’ll fix you up.

It runs once a month on a Thursday evening after 6pm.

Chess Club

Junior Chess Club every Sat morning at 10am. This is for all skills levels and absolute beginners are welcome too! No need to book a place, just come along.

Knitting Club

This runs every Wednesday morning from 10.30am. Drop us a line for details.

Adult Mindfulness Colouring

Every Tuesday morning we have an adult colouring session that runs from 11 am. We provide the booklets but would ask if you could bring along your own colours.

Tech Workshop 

Starting April 17th, Abbeyleix Library will have a drop in tech workshop. If you are having trouble with your laptop, phone, tablet, Nintendo Switch or mini-call – drop in and we will try and help you out.

We do e-mails, texts, web security, apps & more!

If possible, bring your phone or laptop along with you so we can help! No registration needed, walk-ins welcome!

It will run every Tuesday from 12-1.
