The Tidy Towns Competition may have been cancelled for 2020, however many groups are continuing with their efforts and activities within the confines of their current social distancing rules*. As a result in order to assist and support your efforts, grants were being accepted for 2020. This competition has now closed.
Tidy Towns Grants should complement at least one of the the National Tidy Towns competition categories.
This year we have also added a Community Climate action category to encourage local activities that support our Climate Change Adaptation Strategy – for example, tree planting, promoting smarter travel, innovative waste management( grass mulching), etc.
*Please note: Tidy Towns activities may continue provided it not an ‘event’ – for example litter picking, street sweeping or flower bed/hanging basket maintenance, painting are permitted as long as the following social distancing measures are put in place
- It is not ‘organised’ ie, no groups of people at the same time
- Is part of an individual’s ‘permitted exercise’ and within 5km of home
- Is done either alone or with just members of one’s household
Supplies of litter picking materials such as litter pickers and bags will be supplied on request from firstname.lastname@example.org
